Bijan Chemirani is the younger son of the illustrious Iranian percussionist Djamchid Chemirani and a worthy successor to his father's rich legacy. Bijan was initiated into the art of Iranian percussion by his father at an early age, although, due to his being born and raised in France, he has acquired enormous experience in adapting his playing style to other genres of music. He has worked for many years with Ross Daly and Stelios Petrakis and has developed a playing style for Cretan music which is both unique as well as ideally suited for the music.
